Please note that booking is essential for our Afternoon Tea which is available most days between 2.30pm and 5pm (3.30pm–5.30pm on Sundays).  We have a Classic Afternoon Tea, with all the works, for £20  or a Traditional Welsh Afternoon Tea for £18.  We offer a great choice of places in which to enjoy your afternoon tea either with lots friends or on your own.  Beside a roaring fire in the bar, in the guest sitting room which also has a lovely fire and comfy sofas, outside on the garden terrace or, on a blanket in the orchard overlooking the River Monnow, if the weather is good.  All our cakes and scones are freshly made by us and our Head Chef Joseph Colman, who hails from Wales, uses his mother’s traditional recipes for the scones, Barabrith and Welsh cakes.  Contact reception to make your reservation 01600 750235
