A very small production of hand picked Siegerrebe grapes, a relation Gewürztraminer, are used to produce this refreshing white wine from the historic Wythall Estate near Ross-on-Wye, which has been in the same family ownership since the fifteen hundreds. Try it!

122. 2015 Domaine Simone Tremblay, Chablis, France £34.00
Philippe Goulley has made a wonderful, organic Chablis that starts with a clean and sprightly mineralogy and ends with hints of apple and almonds. Brilliant with anything from the sea and also cured hams.

The first solo venture from the maker of Cloudy Bay, this is a deliciously ripe and succulent Sauvignon Blanc with citrus blossom and sweet stone fruit perfumes finishing with a classic Marlborough zing.

129. 2015 Mâcon-Fuissé Vieilles Vignes, Christophe Cordier, France £45.00
A medley of ripe apple and zesty lemon fruit characters creates great depth and intensity, with some body coming from careful use of oak. Slight mineral in the form of slate is detectable on the palate. Excellent as an aperitif or with any kind of salad or white meat, this wine is best enjoyed over the next couple of years

132. 2016 Château du Galoupet, cru Classé Rosé, Côtes de Provence, France £32.00
A classic Provence Rosé, with a delicate pale pink rose colour. The nose is floral with hints of lychees, the palate more pronounced with great flavours of cherries and raspberries. The finish is elegant and fruity.

133. 2015 Picpul de Pinet, Les Mouettes, Coteaux du Languedoc, France £24.00
Youthfully pale and crisp. Vibrant green apple fruit with a refreshingly dry and acidic finis.

134. 2015 Sauvignon Blanc, Devil`s Corner, Tasmania, Australia £36.00
A beautifully made Tasmanian Sauvignon Blanc at a great price! Devil’s Corner has clean, fresh grassy notes with terrific concentration of passion fruit and citrus on the palate. Crisp finishing with great balance of acidity, leaving the flavours linger in the mouth.

207. 2014 Merlot Morgenhof, Simonsberg-Stellenbosch, South Africa £28.00
Lovely plummy finish, a big southern hemisphere Merlot. Run by a different branch of the
Cointreau family that owns Gosset Champagne and Frapin Cognac.

208. 2015 River Grandeur Pinotage, Viljoensdrift, South Africa £31.00
Garnet in colour, with lots of ripe hints of orange peel and spices. Great with venison, duck or lamb.

209. 2009 Domaine Despagne Rapin, Saint Emilion, France Les Piliers de Maison Blanche  £35.00
A classic claret blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Black fruit on the nose and full and round in the mouth withelegant tannins that add rather than detract. A wine for red meats, particularly if accompanied by a sauce.

212. 2014 Fiore di Vigna Primitivo, Salento, Italy £34.00
Barrel-aged red with a hint of tobacco and oak which is from the flatlands of Puglia showing flavours of
plum, blackberry and spice with slight peppery lift. Good to pair with robust food!

Grenache 80% and Syrah 15%, based little brother of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. A full on wine.

Warm and inviting on the nose, this Rioja is incredibly sumptuous for this level. With the faintest hint of
vanilla and oak, it’s mostly intense, ripe and very pure black cherry and spicy fruit. It’s easy to drink
and tastes great over several days.

Vintage 2014 Pinot Noir Précoce gives a fabulous complex bouquet of dark, red berries with layers of mineral nuances. Juicy, lush, generous and complex on the palate, with generous oak and ripe, fine tannins.

236. 2014 Pinot Noir Précoce, White Castle Vineyard, Abergavenny, Wales £33.00
Vintage 2014 Pinot Noir Précoce gives a fabulous complex bouquet of dark, red berries with layers of mineral nuances.  Juicy lush generous and complex on the palate, with generous oak and ripe, fine tannins.

237. 2014 Rondo, White Castle Vineyard, Abergavenny, Wales £32.00
The 2014 vintage is made from the Rondo grape. The red berry fruit aromas and so tannins are
complemented by the subtle use of French Oak barrels. The result is a classic medium bodied red wine.

238. 2013 Esporão Reserva Red, Alentejo, Portugal £44.00
Silky, elegant red with berried fruits, rich and complex palate and well integrated new oak.
David Baverstock, the godfather of modern Portuguese wines, is the winemaker here.

White fruit aromas, with intense minerality. Classic, voluptuous Meursault from an up and coming producer.

135. 2014 Vignerons Ardéchois Ardeche Orélie Blanc, Rhone, France £39.00
A delicious blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay! The wine is very expressive of its environment and reveals vibrant flavours of passion fruit and gooseberry, right through to freshly-cut grass and more refined mineral characteristics. Enjoy with your meal or just on its own.

Fabulous, complex Lebanese classic. Very ripe fruit, with spice and leather. Needs no further introduction.

213. 2006 Château Cissac, Haut-Médoc, Bordeaux, France £62.00
Good cru Bourgeois. An under rated year, drinking well now. Good value Claret.

218. 2013 Chambolle Musigny, Juliette Chenu, Burgundy, France £65.00
Beautifully scented, this is classic Chambolle, with plenty of fruit.

225. 2013 Amarone, Alpha Zeta, Veneto, Italy £59
Deep and intense with dried cherries and blueberries, spiced autumn fruit compote and savoury     cherry fruit character.  Italy’s unique style.

240. 2012 Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Telegramme, Domaine du Vieux Telegraph £69.00
The Telegramme is amazingly fresh and minerally for a Châteauneuf-du-Pape, with vibrant red fruit aromas, juicy berry flavours on the palate and layers of clove, star anise and pepper.

241. 2005 Domaine du Colombier, Hermitage, Rhone Valley, France £98.00  
This is one of France’s most enduringly prestigious wines. Well-wrapped up nose, a good rather smoky and rocky taste.   The red fruit on the palate has a steely, tight composition but it is attractive and stylish.

242. 2010 Château Tour du Pas, Saint-Georges-Saint-Emilion, France £55.00
This is the fifth most highly rated Saint-Georges-Saint-Emilion wine. Very dark hue. Profound, elegant nose marrying dark fruits and subtle mineral, roasted oak. On the palate, wonderful stuffing, a harmonious wine revealing complementary fruit and oak aromas carrying over an already lengthy aftertaste.
243. 2013 Langmeil Three Gardens Shiraz-Grenache-Mourvedre £50.00
Medium bodied in structure with good complexity and lovely silky tannins which flow through the fruitful and spicy finish. Lifted, fresh and bright fruit leaps out of the glass with Raspberry and Blood Plums dominating the aroma with subtle savoury and white pepper hints.
244. 2013 La Crema Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley Sonoma Coast £89.00
Veiled in fog, Russian River Valley vines offer concentrated ,small berries-bursting with flavour. Black cherry, ripe plum, rich spice, plush texture and structured tannins. All in all broad, concentrated, and lingering wine. The bold red fruits in this Pinot Noir pairs nicely with meat dishes as well as chocolate desserts.
245. 2012 Côtes du Rhône E. Guigal, France £32.00
This full-bodied Cotes du Rhone offers a robust core of dark fruit, and savoury white pepper notes that make it a superb food wine. Try with any red meat dishes or  vegetarian dishes like cheese soufflé.
246. 2005 Château Montviel Pomerol, France £95.00
It is considered the finest wine yet made under the administration of Catherine Pere-Verge, the 2005 Montviel’s supple tannins and lovely plum, black raspberry, and cherry fruit are delicious as well as seductive. It exhibits good density along with excellent purity and balance.

513. Pongracz Sparkling – Method Cap Classique NV £29.00
Delicate yeasty tones, layered with toast and ripe fruit are enlivened by a firm mousse and persistent bead that make it particularly attractive. It imparts a wonderful foamy mouthful of black fruit flavours with a long lingering aftertaste.

A ripe bouquet with slight acidity this is a stunning Champagne from the one of the oldest wine house of France. Great as an aperitif, bags of flavour or with seafood or just a general indulgence.

Flawless signature, distinguished by a delicate nose, marked by a subtle brioche notes. It has a palate of considerable depth and balance with hints of honey and fresh fruit.
516. Perrier Jouët, Grand Brut Champagne NV £52.00

505. 2010 Ancre Hill (Blush) Rosé, Monmouth, Wales £35.00
Made just over the hill by Richard & Joy, they have all the attention to detail and the Methode
Champenoise to make a tip top rosé fizz. Due to antisynines in the pinot noir skins in 2010 however,
this has produced very little rosé in colour (but they decided not to artificially interfere with the colour!)
Still tastes like their normal rosé with some strawberries on the palate and fabulous bubbles!
508. Perrier-Jouët Blason Rosé NV Champagne £75.00
Elegant aromas of raspberries, wild strawberries and rose petals are in abundance. This superb rosé can be enjoyed with fresh fruit desserts or on its own as an aperitif
509. Laurent-Perrier, Luvée Rose NV Champagne £77.00
Unusually made by the saignée method, with plenty of stylish strawberry fruit, full of vivacity and easy-drinking charm. A wonderfully refreshing apéritif, it also works well with a variety of dishes.
